Disney’s Skyliner Transportation system Dedication ceremony & Opening

With the imminent opening of the new Skyliner system, Disney executives and cast members gathered for the official dedication ceremony on the 27th September to celebrate the event.

With the Walt Disney World ambassador kicking things off at Caribbean Beach Resort skyliner station, he introduced the senior VP of Walt Disney World Resorts who gave an update of the year so far. Then introducing the VP of Transportion to give a view of how transportation invokes memories and is at the heart of the guest experience, before welcoming cast members from each of the modes of transport at Walt Disney world resort which was a great sight to see!

For the final element, Skylar (a skyliner conductor) introduced a host of Disney characters – Mickey, Minnie, Stitch, Vanellope, Clarabelle Cow and Judy Hopps to officially launch the new Skyliner system With a flash and bang of fireworks!

Joffreys coffee stall will also be offering unique and exclusive beverage and food offerings for guests too. Add the ‘toffee flight latte’ onto list of must-try items!

Disney will also start selling Disney Skyliner merchandise from September 27. Merchandise will include pins, MagicBands, T-Shirts, models, luggage tags, hats and Christmas ornaments.

The Skyliner system will officially start transporting guests across property from the 29th September. In addition, ride times will shortly be included on the My Disney Experience app.
